Winter 2021: Call for Papers!

The Chicago Journal of Foreign Policy (CJFP) is a student-run academic journal  published biannually by undergraduates at the University of Chicago. Our  journal aims to promote the analysis of international affairs. We are a forum within which undergraduates can explore issues relevant to foreign policy in both the United States and other countries.

The CJFP Editorial Board hopes to create a publication that presents a range of topics and perspectives. As such, we welcome submissions from all fields of study. This includes content that reflects on a particular country’s foreign policy issues, explores relationships between nations, analyzes developments in international organizations and structures, etc. Content pertaining to the period from 1945 to the present is preferred. We allow submissions of work written as class assignments, for academic research, or out of personal interest.

Submissions should run at an approximate maximum of 15 pages double-spaced (not including  bibliography), with 12-point Times New Roman font and regular margins, although this limit is flexible. Citations should be provided in Chicago Style, with running footnotes. As we will be conducting a blind review of submissions, please remove any personal identifying information from your paper (eg. name, year of study, major, and university) and instead list it in the body of your email.

Please submit your paper via email to chicagojournalfp@gmail.com by 11:59 pm CDT on December 31st, 2020. Papers should be submitted as Microsoft Word documents. The subject of your email should be formatted: “Winter  2021_Title.” After the completion of our peer-review process, you will be informed of whether your paper has been accepted by our Editorial Board.

If you would like to learn more about our journal or view our latest edition, feel free to examine our website or like us on Facebook at The Chicago Journal of Foreign Policy. Should any questions arise, please email us at chicagojournalfp@gmail.com.
